    Gone ...... to DVD

    by Darkola

I'm not sure why, but this past year or two most of the movies coming out just seem to be par, and this one falls into that same catagory. This is a lady who was kidnapped and escaped her killer, then as time goes on, the killer comes back and kidnaps her sister, thinking its her, and she has to find her. The movie tries to make you wonder if its in her head, or if this is really happening, and they do a poor job of that, there is one cop in particular that they throw into the movie to mislead you into wondering who the kidnapper is, and the storyline with this cop is just terrible, things he says to her that are lies, yet serve no purpose, except to try and distract you from figuring out who the real kidnapper is. The story is just so so, that acting is just ok. I am always disappointed spending this kind of money to go to the show, to see a movie that, to be honest, is par with many made for tv movies and they put no real expense into this movie, nothing over the top. 2 stars of 4

    Please Be Gone!

Serious disappointment. Hour and half of continually waiting for it to get better. Towards the end, 1/4 of the audience began chuckling at the bad, unbelievable, and corny plot. Seriously one of the worst movies I've seen in a long, long time. Wife openly admits she now owes me 2 guy movies for making me sit through this Mamma Mia gone bad wanna be thriller.

    Not Boring, But Typical..

We enjoyed the movie to the fullest. It's kinda typical in some respects to, Vanished, Taken, Disappeared, etc....O.K. for 13 and up... The movie moves rather quickly which keeps you interested.

I just always hate it when they play the cops as uncaring dumb butts that just can't do their job and and the victim has too....3 stars...Will make a great rental for a girls slumber party....BOO...LOL

Nothing special but we thought very entertaining !!

    Good movie!

My husband and I thought it was a pretty good movie- The acting was good, just a little disappointed at the ending. We thought it could have been a little more creative instead of being so predictable. Over all, it was a good show and we are glad we went and saw it.

    Gone

    by HOM

Decent movie. You know that she is telling the truth the whole time, so that was pretty much expected. I would not have ended the movie the way it did end though. Otherwise it was a decent movie. Not the worst and not the best suspense/thriller I've seen.

    gone

I enjoyed the movie very much. I think it ended a little abruptly, as I wanted more but all in all it was a good movie. I had to tell my adult kids how he got in. I had to tell them he rented a locksmith vehicle and was able to get in that way. I give it a 4 out of 5

Was this intended to be a thriller or comedy?

An abundance of material for the "Scary Movie" realm of films. The majority of the audience laughed throughout much of the two hours. I left perplexed as to what the director was thinking in crafting this movie. Ridiculous, yet entertaining in a comical sense.

    Never great...

    by pedsarq

This is a low-budget thriller about a young woman who was abducted by a serial killer and managed to escape. The cops never believed her and she ended up in an insane asylum before moving in with her sister. She has been working on her recovery, but also her martial arts. When her sister is taken, she understakes the investigation on her own with the cops hot on her trail. There are some moments in this movie where it's interesting, just not enough of them. In fact, this movie feels more like a bad TV movie. I would recommend that not got to the movies and spend your money on it. If you decide to go, make sure it's to a bargain matinee so you don't spend too much.

    Wait for the Blu Ray/DVD

Unfortunately this movie did not live up to the smallest of expectations. Very thin story line, poor acting and a basic waste of 90 minutes. What a shame, I was looking for a Kiss the Girls scenario.

    Enjoyable thriller.

I really like how the movie made us think that the main character was insane but ended up that the Cops never believed her.. The movie wasn't too scary, which i liked also. Overall, i think that the movie was a success and i would recommend it to my friends to watch. :)

    A Basic B-Movie Thriller.

While "Gone" isn't necessarily a bad movie, it isn't one that's worth the price of today's tickets, even at a discounted matinee. It's fun and thrilling enough, thanks in no small part to sound and lighting effects, but the play is mediocre and the players are barely invested in the characters they're playing. It runs more like a TV movie than a theatrical exhibition release. You may want to wait for the DVD or stream on this one. You'll be glad you did.

    NOT DISSAPOINTED AT ALL

    by

I read many reviews not expecting to like something about the movie, and especially the ending. But I was in fact pleasantly surprised with the ending and the entire movie itself. The search for her sister took up the entire movie. The ending made complete sense given how the movie started. For me it balanced the entire movie out. I saw it at the discount theatre and feel it was well worth the money. The movie isn't believeable, but I didn't expect it to be. I expected it to be entertaining and it was indeed that.

    **Great Movie**

The entire movie was absolutely great. Amanda Seyfried really did an amazing job with the character she played. She gave an outstanding performance and the entire cast did a great job with their parts in the movie. I enjoyed the determination, desire and willingness Amanda gave to find her sister even though people did not give her the benefit of the doubt. Overall, the movie is a must see. It was very entertaining.

    Gone

    by ranmac

Gone was a great story about the perserverance from the weakened to the embolden. The police were only vilified to the point that they were cautiously forbidden from taking a more leading role because of the history and doubts cast unwittingly on the victim. It isn't a tale of conspiracy but about human tragedy befallen the demonized view of mental illness. Just because your paranoid doesn't mean they aren't after you. This fast paced drama left little doubt that there was an inner strength that would win out in the end. Whether that would be a remarkable revelation about truth or demons put back into the closet was unknown until the dramatic finish. I thoroughly enjoyed the movie right down to the explosive finale!
