Interesting Story

There weren't many chase scenes or car crashes. There was no gratuitous nudity or any excessive cussing. But one thing about a Sayles movies I love is that is will tell the viewer a REAL story..If you love realism in your cinema, then Go For Sisters is the movie for you. The performances by Lisagay Hamilton, Yolonda Ross and Edward James Olmos were excellent. I loved Fontayne she's a great character. A bad girl turned good is my favorite type of character. Being a guy (I guess) I was hoping for a little more action. That the bad guys would be a little more resistant and there would be more physical strugge involved. To see Fontayne in action!! But this movie can easily be transferred to the small screen and turned into an action/drama series. Let's make it happen!!! Go see it today. Peace

A parole officer, an ex-con addict, and a near-blind retired cop join forces to find a missing son in trouble. John Sayles deftly melds two story lines and three unlikely characters into one fascinating film. A courageous story unfolded with such honesty and grit that you'll feel like you're part of the conversation.
