OK this movie was mostly about the humanity of the story and not so much about the creatures. if your expecting to see 2 hours of destruction then watch another movie, but if u want to see a pretty good movie with great special affects and one bad ***monster then this is the movie for you!

Too much of this movie revolved around humans, not enough of the big guy!

If there was a zero star rating for this movie I would have used it. This has to be one of the worst movies I have ever seen in my life. Bryan Cranston, who played a superb roll as meth cooker/has been Chemistry teacher, Walter White in the Emmy Award winning Breaking Bad, was at his worst in this movie. It was, by far, one of the worst acting jobs I have ever seen. There were two even worse though. That would be the "actor" that played his son and the Japanese scientist who was always looking down at something while scowling and never saying anything. All of these actors must have been using an electronic transporter because they could get from San Francisco to Japan to Hawaii and back to San Francisco in just a few minutes time in the film. There was the same account for the U.S. Navy Carrier Fleet that could speed around thousands of miles of Pacific Ocean in seconds. Then there was Godzilla himself, who could also speed around the ocean at Mach 20+ chasing two bugs. Pathetic!!

The Godzilla I recognize

This reboot seems to follow the original vision of its creator back in 1954. I loved how this movie gave numerous nods to past Godzilla movies like "Gojira" and "Attack of the Monsters". Others have complained about some of the disjointed storyline or not enough Godzilla in the movie itself, but I think the storyline worked without making the movie feel campy, and the limited scenes of Godzilla I felt was appropriate and added to its mystery. Fanboys and people who grew up with Classic Godzilla will appreciate this update. Hope it can help erase the 1998 version from our recent memory.
