  The Greatest Epic

  There is no question that Gladiator is one of the great all time epic films. I venture to say it is the greatest. Setting aside the rich and powerful sets, the virtuoso performances of the actors, and the masterful score, Gladiator's symbolic portrayal of good versus evil, divinity in man, and the struggle of righteousness over corruption and vanity are so exquisitely interwoven into this sublime story as to leave the viewer in rapt introspection long after the credits have played. Man is more than the powers that be. Mankind is better than the tyrants of society. Courage and conviction are better than wealth and gluttony and, in following the hero of this epic tale, we can believe that evil can be overcome and there is a reward for living a principled and courageous life that transcends the mortal sphere. Gladiator shows us the best of the human spirit juxtaposed against the worst of the politics and corruption man can create. The story echoes the nobility that resides in everyone.

  GLADIATOR THE BEST FILM OF 2000 WOW!!!!!and LADIES THOSE HOT MEN IN SHORT SKIRTS..YUMMY

  Russell Crowe, Joaquin Phoenix, Connie Nielsen, Oliver Reed, with all of these GREAT actors how can one go wrong?This movie is one of my favorites!! If you love movies from the Roman times that are full of excitement then this is the one for you.trust me I saw this one in the theaters four times!This movie kept my interest from the very first second it started until the very end and for the most part I was on the edge of my seat being totally entertained!! This fillm was robbed of what should have been Many Awards to include an OSCAR ,the scenes in this movie were so vivid and alive like nothing I've ever seen, I was blown away. Kurt Douglas played a Gladiator role in Spartacus and he was Awesome!! Well, you have the same story EXCEPT thisfilm comes alive with it's breath taking scenes and the really Great shots. Russelll and Joaquin both were so AMAZING as was the other actors in the film were great as well, I'm telling you everything in this movie was GREAT! !GO NOW!

  OMG!!!

  I LOVE this movie! Everything about it! couldn't wait to see it over and over. Saw it three times in the theater, and bought it the day it came out on DVD.

  Amazing Cinematography

  This is probably the best acting job by Russell Crowe since The 10 Commandments and Charlton Heston. Russell delivers the most amazing performance of a roman gladiator, he made me believe the realness of that time period. Amazing, brilliant, and an amazing score. A+++++++
