Not in a million years

Thought I would hate this movie. Yes, it was silly at times. I never thought in a million years that I would rate this a Go....but it was entertaining.

Life lessons learned!

I went to this movie because there was nothing else I hadn't seen or wanted to see. I was really surprised that this movie was funny. And it is not just a chick flick guys will enjoy this movie as well. In fact there were a couple of guys in the theater that laughed a good bit and seemed to be enjoying the movie. Yes the story gets kind of mushy in parts but all in all not a bad flick. One of the funny parts is during the wedding reception while the Korean war era dad is toasting. Really funny. Go see this movie if you want some mushy, funny and life lessons about dating and romance.

Can I have some wine with that ...

Took my wife on her birthday to see this. We both agreed that it was funny, but not funny enough, to see in the theater. Our rating system gave it a "B-"

Good movie, not great. I was pleasantly surprised how much guy humor was actually in it...that was cool. It got VERY cheesy at the end...too much for me. I like a happy ending and all, but you can leave a few loose ends.

Overall, great movie to score some points with the wife...but I would say rent it...but that is just me.

Don't waste your time or money

This movie was horrible. The writers took 1 1/2 hours to develop Matthew McConaughey's sorry character and literally every other word was sex. The characters were constantly talking about who they were going to sleep with next all the while longing for something more meaningful in their lives. The writing was corny, classless and just plain sad. I thought with Jennifer Garner and Matthew McConaughey we were in for a good show - boy was I wrong. I took my teenage girls to see it thinking we would get to see a good, cute chick flick together and I was embarrassed to have them there. We ended up walking out after we figured out that it wasn't going to get better, but continued to dive south as time went on.

i thought that matthew and jennifer were great actors but i didnt like this movie because it waz REALLY pervereted!!!!!!!!! DEFINETELY not for the fam!!!!!!!

Good Movie !

I really liked this movie . I am younger, but I still found it enjoyable. The whole movie kept you locked in . I had to go to the bathroom and I would have rather peed in my pants than missed this movie . It is a MUST SEE.

Great chick flick!

My mom and I went to see this movie and we laughed so much! I mean it is predictable but is great humor and as always Matthew gives an amazing performance! We did think the movie was a little long! I would not tell people to run to the theater to see it but definitely rent it!

Horrible, horrible, HORRIBLE MOVIE !!! I thought I would love this movie becuase the trailers looked funny, plus I really like Jennifer Garner (13 Going on 30) and Matthew McConaughey (Reign of Fire). I'm not going to blame the lead actors for this dismal movie, I blame the writer. Its not good when you enjoy the supporting actors roles more than you do the leads actors roles. Michael Douglas was great by the way. Garner's character is an accomplished woman, a doctor, independant, etc. Yet, the script makes her look like her life would not be complete w/o this womanizing pig. The borrowed story for the backdrop, Charles Dickens' "A Christmas Carol", did not work because this was not a Christmas story. I never understood the Ghost of Present,,,was she dead or was she alive? You see her character become supernatural then suddenly she is normal again interacting with everyone else.....what the heck? Save this one for dvd rental.

I really enjoyed this movie. I went to the theater not really knowing much about it and was pleasantly surprised. A bit inappropriate for the younger crowd (I guess nothing worse than primetime TV), but a few people with pre-teens had walked out.

Too Much SEX

Although I love Jennifer Garner and Mathew McConaughey, this movie was focused on nothing but sex. I was disappointed that I took my daughter to see it. If I had known in advance that the film was that trashy, I would have chosen to see another movie. Not recommended for parents or children with morals and values.
