It was a sequel to "Ghost Rider." Enough said.

Actually, there is a lot to be said about this complete waste of time. When I saw the trailer for this movie, I was wondering why are they doing this? They tried to make this one more cutting edge and bad*** but it was still all smoke and mirrors than fire and brimstone. The camera angles were completely awkward and invasive, the story was incessantly mundane, the 3D didn't help the movie at all. The only thing that was different from the last movie, other than the characters and setting, was the fact that Cage's blaze exhibited some type of personality. I saw this because I was bored and wanted something to do. "Spirit of Vengeance," didn't exactly excite me. I almost lulled me to sleep.

Not a sequel. More like a darker relaunch.

This was WAY different from the first. Even the main background plot changed. I no longer felt like I was watching a "hero" but felt like I was watching 2 demons fight. The screenplay was often confusing and excluded character info that could have helped the average Joe understand things if he hadn't read the comics. I understand that this was an attempt to bring the movies closer to the comic books, so maybe it won't be bad if you are a die hard Marvel fan. If you are expecting a sequel though, save your money.

I have to say the quality of this movie is worse than a poorly made for TV movie. Although the effects were good, they didn't do anything for the story telling. In fact, the effects took away from the story. I saw it with my 12 year old son, and we both agreed, we could have waited for it to neon network TV. Thank goodness this wasn't billed as a sequel. The original Ghost Rider movie was much better.
