George Magrill entered films in 1921 as a general-purpose bit player. Magrill's imposing physique and dexterity enabled him to make a good living as a stunt man throughout the 1920s, 1930s and 1940s. From time to time, he'd have speaking roles as bank guards, cops, sailors, truck drivers and chauffeurs.
