The first GI Joe foreshadowed doom for the franchise but Retaliation i feel salvaged it. There was a better casting and actors in this one. Which for me ruined the first one.
The Action was a little farfetched...but its an action movie!!! Its supposed to be like that. The graphics were obvious at some points thought.
The 3D was used quite a lot throughout the movie which was good. Some of the battle scenes were a bit overwhelming...but i would imagine if you were actually in a battle thats how overwhelmed you would feel.

I had a blast and was thoroughly entertained, which is what I go to movies for! IMAX had the bullets whizzing past my head and the Ninja figts on the zip line - FANTASTIC!! I may have to go see it again - in IMAX of course!

I was surprised that I actually liked this in 3D. Usually I think 3D is wasted on live action movies, but it was pretty good. The story line kept moving throughout the whole film, there was never that loll that you get with some action flicks. Loved the Lady Jaye character. Bout time there was a strong female role in a mostly male dominated action flick and she wasn't an after-thought. Over all I would recommend it! :)

The special effects and set up were cool. However, once you get to the climax and you find out what Cobra's plot was it makes you go "oh come on." Wait for it to come on HBO it wasn't worth $17

As a die-hard action fan (pun intended), I'm very critical of films that don't deliver or do deliver, but only the highlights you've already seen in the trailers. G.I. Joe: Retaliation is a heart-pounding roller coaster of non-stop action that will have you on the edge of your seat from start to end.
Part of the story was disappointing to me, but I'm sure the writer had their reasons.
Like martial arts? Like suspense? Like military-ish films? Like movies about heros? If so, go see this film. You won't be disappointed.
