Oh No Joe, Say It Isn't So!

There's so much testosterone in this film it's a wonder the FDA didn't get involved in its production. Yes guys, this one's for you. The screenplay is dumbed down to the level of the basic 8 year old's mentality. There's nothing but violence, murder, explosions and fancy death toys BUT sadly (Quentin Jerome Tarantino) not one drop of blood, thereby giving it the robust PG13 flavor, even when slicing faces open right there in front of the camera. Yes mom and dad, this is the same dosage of violence to be found in most video games so there you have it...the perfect Saturday afternoon outing for weekend dads and sons, and one big excuse for mom to stay home with her thoughts, unless of course she just can't resist beef, albeit rancid and a bit difficult to swallow. Bad film? Nope. Good film? Not really. Worth a ticket purchase. Yes, if for no other reason than to count the number of times you've seen that scene before, all strung together into one big formulaic mess of a movie.

This is one of those rare sequels that is better than the original [They were supposed to release it last year but they decided to shoot a few extra scenes with a certain actor , after he became even more popular] . Arnold [Zartan] sets a trap for the G.I. Joe team that decimates the team . Dwayne [Roadblock] , Adrianne [Lady Jaye] and Ray P [Snake Eyes] are a few of the survivors that mount a counter offensive against the forces of Cobra . Ray S [Firefly] is on the bad guys team , that tries to finish off the remaining Joe members . There are a few cameo appearances and plenty of action and fight scenes . It is being shown in 3D & IMAX 3D . It is rated "PG-13" for violence and language and has a running time of 1 hour & 50 minutes . I thoroughly enjoyed it and I would buy it on Blu-Ray .

I had higher hopes for this movie. The acting was minimal and it followed the same formula as the last movie. If you want a simple action movie with a lot of explosions this is your movie.

Just watched the movie last night with the wife and I have to say for the action it was great but as for the story I have to say as a hardcore GI Joe fan I was terribly disappointed. 1st: How are you going to start a sequel without explaining what happened to the original Joes, 2nd: And one of the biggest disappointments of all how in the he!! are you going to kill of DUKE???? In every story Duke is always the leader of the GI Joe team not roadblock and one last thing I cant help but look at the fact that this is another movie that the Rock had to put himself into and it goes to crap!!!! Rock stick to the Fast and Furious movies stay out of the other movies made from shows we all watched as kids!!!
