    G.I. Joeke

    I have seen the previews for this movie many times over the past few weeks of going to the show to see other movies, and was really excited and looking forward to seeing this, the action looked like it was going to be good, and with Bruce Willis and Dwayne Johnson, how could you go wrong ? ... Well in my opinion they did. This movie had nothing original going for it, I've seen one to many times a movie where someone can be made to take another identity and be made to look like them, I've also seen one to many movies where its about the nuclear weapons *yawwwwnnnnn*. I also felt this movie became somewhat confusing if you dont really know each character beforehand, especially for a movie like this, where you are going to have younger kids wanting to see this. I felt like I was watching more of a cartoon or Ninja Turtles movie, where your not suppose to take it to serious. I'd give this 2 of 4 stars myself, wait for the DVD, hope ya enjoy and please add me if you like my reviews :)

    Not worth the money

    Okay, let's be honest...G.I. Joe: The Rise of Cobra didn't raise the bar that high in regards to a G.I Joe Movie. But I'm certain that Retaliation just lowered that bar. There were a couple of good action sequences, but the characters were all one dimensional, the story was spotty and rushed, and nothing was explained. Anyone saying that this is the G.I. Joe movie we've been looking for wasn't a fan of G.I. Joe back in the day. I wouldn't recommend wasting your money on this movie. Wait until it comes out on Redbox and watch it for a dollar. Or if you're that anxious to see it in the theaters, wait until it hits your local dollar theater.

    RETALIATION, FOR WHAT WAS DONE IN RISE OF COBRA. THANK YOU JON CHU

    I am a child of the 80?s and a huge GI JOE ARAH fan from the beginning. I love the toys and the stories written by Larry Hama that were found in the Marvel comics back in the day. RETALIATION picks up were RISE OF COBRA left off but explains in voice over what has happened since then. You have to keep an open mind, JON CHU is trying to bridge the two movies together yet make this new one stand alone. I want to say he gives RISE OF COBRA (and the GI JOE franchise) its respect for what that movie was (a foot note so to speak) but quickly moves on from there and establishes RETALIATION as its own. Without giving away spoilers, RETALIATION really got me excited about GI JOE again. Nod to Mr Hama?s ?Silent? issue can be seen btwn Snake Eyes and Storm Shadow in a great way.
    Rest of the cast was awesome. Like I said keep an open mind and don?t look to much into the little things and most of all enjoy it! YO JOE!!!!

    There are a lot of plot twists in this action packed "shoot em up". Dont try too hard to follow the plot or you will get lost. Just go with it and take it for what it is but unless you are a die hard GI Joe fan, you might want to wait for it to come out on video.

    no very interesting

    For an action movie it was not too exiting. I actually was bored a lot, not enough continuous action, story line misleading. Thought the rock was too monotone.

    GI JOE is Entertaining!

    GI JOE is what it is suppose to do and that is entertain. It will not win a Oscar, not that type of movie. They killed Duke too early, but they must have their reasons. The Japanese Ninja half blind master seemed out of place with a cheesey voice, only weird thing in the movie.....well some others, but the only one that reminded me of the old Karate movies with voice dubbing.

    Great movie

    The movie was awesome. I love seeing Snake Eyes in action again. Bringing Storm Shadow back into play was pretty epic. My only complaint was that they killed of Duke way in the beginning........They took all the effort from the first movie and recruiting him just to kill him off after 10 minutes in? Come on guys......

    GI Joe Retaliation and a Shocking Turn of Events

    I don't want to give anything away to anyone who hasn't seen the movie. But, there is a shocking turn of events near the beginning of the movie. It changed how I felt about the movie afterwards because I did not expect it to happen. There are characters from the first movie that are not in this one. The movie does not talk about them or what happened with them. I think the movie was still good but would have been better without the shocking event. Also, the characters from the first movie should have still been in this movie. The way the movie ends leaves you with the possibility of a sequel to this movie.

    it was SO bad i was lauphing throughout the movie for how corny it was. Corny jokes, horrible unrelestic plots and fighting, and was very bad acting.

    G.I.JOE Big on action.

    My son and I went to see it and it was way better than I thought it would be. Lots of action for sure. I am not much for long drawn out movies that take at least an half an hour to get to the point. This one kept my attention from start to finish. I would give it at least a 4 out of 5 stars.

    Disappointed

    My sister and I went to see this moving on my birthday thinking it would be great to see. I was wrong. I was disappointed that the main character died within 30 minutes and the focus was solely on "The Rock". I wanted to see a sequel of GI JOE instead I got an action movie based on The Rock.

    G.I JOE a NO NO

    OK so I'm not the biggest act fan but with a cast like The Rock, Channing Tatum and Bruce Wills I figured it would be decent... welll ummm yea no! it had its action scene movements but the plot didn't seem as great as it should be and alot of the old cast wasn't in this movie.... GREAT EYE CANDIES i will say that so ladys if your husbands or BF are making you see this movie and least you have something to look at for an hour and half

    GI Retaliation

    Reviews have been mixed but decided to go see it this weekend. Liked it better than the first! Kicks off movie in motion,and stays that way, also introduced more characters that were interesting, love what they did with Storm Shadow. Can't wait to see what develops with him from here. Will miss Duke, but it gave the characters drive and incentive. Exciting and non-stop. If you like a fun- fast paced movie with a feel good ending despite all, this one's for you. Oh, and Bruce. He was great! Really liked the lack of language in this one. There was some, small words, but nothing hard core, which made it a prime movie for my 11 & 14 yr olds. We need some good "hero" movies, This is one. Go see it. Well worth it.

    Oh No Joe, Say It Isn't So!

    There's so much testosterone in this film it's a wonder the FDA didn't get involved in its production. Yes guys, this one's for you. The screenplay is dumbed down to the level of the basic 8 year old's mentality. There's nothing but violence, murder, explosions and fancy death toys BUT sadly (Quentin Jerome Tarantino) not one drop of blood, thereby giving it the robust PG13 flavor, even when slicing faces open right there in front of the camera. Yes mom and dad, this is the same dosage of violence to be found in most video games so there you have it...the perfect Saturday afternoon outing for weekend dads and sons, and one big excuse for mom to stay home with her thoughts, unless of course she just can't resist beef, albeit rancid and a bit difficult to swallow. Bad film? Nope. Good film? Not really. Worth a ticket purchase. Yes, if for no other reason than to count the number of times you've seen that scene before, all strung together into one big formulaic mess of a movie.
