Took my teen boys and a good time was had by all. Loved the first one. Second was good and like some of the new Joe's.

The best thing about this movie: Every scene with Bruce Willis in it. The sword fighting scenes are also pretty good, particularly the one on the side of the cliff.
Everything else was kind of meh. Seeing futuristic helicopters and stuff was neat but not exceptional. Maybe I've seen too many action movies, but there wasn't as much "omg that was awesome!" as I was hoping for.
All the good guy characters are new and weren't in the first movie, which I didn't like either, the exception being the guy that you never see his face and he doesn't talk (Snake Eyes). I'm all for new characters, but what about the old? Sheesh. That said, the new characters did very well and were fun to watch interact.
There was one thing I really didn't like, though. In 3D, they kept throwing things directly at you instead of just slightly past you, very annoying.
If you liked the first movie you'll probably like this one, but don't expect miracles. It's not bad, but it's not great either.

The 3D is a little off and some of the action sequences were unexplained or perhaps unexplainable. Very poor job at letting the viewer in on locations and the only character you actually develop a connection with, is not very relevant to the story, if you can call it that.
My assumption is that the editors screwed the pooch on this one. A lot of action sequences, but the story was either not very well created or not shared with the viewer at all.
However, in the end, the action sequences were really good, especially when it involved the ninjas.
For my money, it was a decent movie, but definitely not the best we've seen, or come to expect, from The Rock or Bruce Willis.

Once again let down by the lack of quality 3D. Action was good but have seen better. About what I would expect from an average at best action movie. Dwayne Johnson has his moments but this is not one of them.

GI Joe Redemption was labeled and charged by the Kips Bay Theater as being shown in 3D but was shown in plan old boring 2d. Is this the kind of business you have reduced yourselves to doing business with? Not sure if I will ever use Fandango again or never go to Kips Bay again but last night was not a good experience in any aspect. I would expect a complete credit at the very least. You figure it out.
