The 3D is a little off and some of the action sequences were unexplained or perhaps unexplainable. Very poor job at letting the viewer in on locations and the only character you actually develop a connection with, is not very relevant to the story, if you can call it that.
My assumption is that the editors screwed the pooch on this one. A lot of action sequences, but the story was either not very well created or not shared with the viewer at all.
However, in the end, the action sequences were really good, especially when it involved the ninjas.
For my money, it was a decent movie, but definitely not the best we've seen, or come to expect, from The Rock or Bruce Willis.

So enjoyed the movie. Saw it in 3D and a number of times almost jumped out of my seat. Some humor and lots and lots of action. Feel it is a movie that kids 10 and up can see.

WAAAYY better than the first one. This movie doesn’t take itself seriously and the actions scenes did not have so many camera tricks that it confuses you.
To bad this was not to worthy for 3D (I don’t know why all these companies film everything in 2D, then spend extra time and money to convert it back to 3D).
Character acting was just fine for this type of movie. Only a few stupid (one REALLY stupid) scene but the action makes up for it.
One more thing, action movies as long as this one tend to really feel long but this one didn’t because everything was satisfying (except for that one stupid scene).
7/10 (save your money and don’t go for 3D, or go all out and see it in AVX)

My 14 year old grandson and I saw this last night. I was somewhat entertained, there were several spots in it that I wasn't too crazy about....not content per se. It was timely, but still a 'formula' movie and I expected that. The cinematography was not the best. The 3D was 'off'. as it wasn't very pleasing to the eye. Before one particular (video playing scene) there was at least 10 seconds of dead screen. Other than that, Bruce Willis was, as always, entertaining in his too small role. The hidden weaponry was 'cliche' to say the least....I agree with the critics about the so-so rating. However, my grandson didn't move a muscle nor did he speak a word...a sign that he was thoroughly enjoying it! He said it was really good and he'd love to go see it again! And to see him happy....that was my only thrill!

Saw G.I. Joe: Retaliation in Real 3D and enjoyed it very much. It was very face passed not slow at all. Sad that there was not a lot of Channing Tatum but felt that Rock truly carried this whole movie. Rock has proven that yes he can act and yes he is a true action star.
