Kips Bay Ripoff

GI Joe Redemption was labeled and charged by the Kips Bay Theater as being shown in 3D but was shown in plan old boring 2d. Is this the kind of business you have reduced yourselves to doing business with? Not sure if I will ever use Fandango again or never go to Kips Bay again but last night was not a good experience in any aspect. I would expect a complete credit at the very least. You figure it out.

Well Worth It!

I loved the movie, I feel it was full of action as expected and I was NOT disappointed. I'm a huge fan of Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson, Channing Tatum and Bruce Willis so I was happy to see them all in the same movie. I was entertained throughout and would see it again...I'm hoping for a sequel!

Dumbest movie I've seen in a long time! DON"T GO!

I needed to change my mind and thought let's go and see a stupid movie, turn my brain off and enjoy some special effects. Well, this movie was so stupid (weak lines, actors do not even seem to be into it) that even with my low expectations I was really disappointed. If you're very young like 14 years old, you might find this fun.

GI: Uh-Oh!

This move was way more hyped than developed. The plot is pretty straight forward, if you believe in over the top villians trying to take over the world. But played out on screen is a jumble of action scenes that are supposed to be enteratining. However, the shakey camera work and too-fast movements just don't lend itself well to the 3D format; things just become a blur. And you would think that Channing Tatum could redeem the picture, but he's on screen for 10 mins tops! Totally not worth the ticket price. I say at least wait for Redbox.

Kept my interest

I took my two youngest grandchildren to see GI Joe: Retaliation 3D. My 10 year-old granddaughter and I liked it. My 13 year-old grandson said it was so-so. Not what I expected. The movie did show a lot of battle violence. I liked the action. I wasn't bored during the movie. The actors were good. No deep characterization, though. That's okay. Typical plot for this kind of movie. Nothing special. That's okay, too. Guess I just like action movies.
