The flying snow and floating ice did shock me. The story is just avobe average.
By the way, Olaf is funny enough, but can be more wonky!

I saw it in 3D; it was worth the price of admission just to see the intro cartoon in the old style. If you haven't seen it in 3D then you haven't seen it. The movie was great, the ending was non-traditional for Disney and I really appreciated their effort to branch out. The lyrics and the music were a little wonky to me. Felt like some kind of parody of a Disney movie. The effects were stunning- they really out did themselves. All that said, I don't think this will be a Disney movie that kids now will show their kids, the way that my generation has done with The Little Mermaid and The Lion King, or the way my parents did Mary Poppins and Bedknobs and Broomsticks. It's a very well done movie, but lacking the magic that makes a classic.

One of the best Disney flicks I have seen in quite some time. The girls loved it more than the guys for only one reason - Too much singing. As a guy who is not that much entertained by musicals I thought they could have pulled back the number of songs and still had a top notch animated feature. I work in the movie industry as a 3D VFX artist and I was impressed by the consistent quality throughout the movie. I am very critical of most animations studios ability to deliver on all levels, but this was done with a truly high standard of excellence. Very entertaining!
