An artistic portrayal of a troubled life
Watching Frida gave me a whole new appreciationf for Frida Kahlo's art. I have seen her paintings in many museums and had a thumbnail sketch of who she was.
This movie told the story of the artist, how she developed over decades, and overlayed her art with the story. It made a connection between the suffering in her life and the art. I gained an appreciation of her life and her choices. She proved to have a strength beyond her physical being.
