    Compelling and Warm

Movies of these kind are often so very dark and depressing that I end up with mixed feelings about them, but this one I've watched several times and like it more each time.

It isn't huge with the special effects but still manages an intensely suspenseful climax. The acting is stellar; the cast leaves you with a lasting impression of warmth and sacrificial familial love. It isn't a "feel good" movie in the typical sense, but the performances and writing are so strong that you do walk away feeling better about life. I think it's because it is such a pleasure to see a movie that focuses on some of the good things we take for granted. Then to see that goodness triumph over evil is very satisfying.
