beautifully told love affair
Well you really must see this film to appreciate why it was a love story. The lead actor, who I had seen in The Prophet, has matured as a man. His presence is electrifying. The story captures the resistance movement in Paris during WWII, and the dynamics between Muslims and Jews they protected - they were all Algerians, after all. The love between the two men is evident but subtle.Watch their EYES
