The acting is excellent, casting is great, lots <wbr />of action, plot was shallow, but for James Patte<wbr />rson&#39;s Alex Cross book fans it is a well worthwh<wbr />ile bit of excitement.  While it departs greatly<wbr /> from the books, it is every bit as exciting as <wbr />any of the novels, and fills the adult need for <wbr />an occasional action film on a cold rainy aftern<wbr />oon.
