Interesting movie and storyline, however seemed <wbr />to drag in parts and overall felt too long.  Not<wbr /> necessarily a chick flick but my audience seeme<wbr />d predominately female.  Story is about a white <wbr />girl writer attempting to write a book about how<wbr /> &quot;the oppressed black help&quot; feels about their sn<wbr />obby white employers in Jackson, Mississippi in <wbr />the 1960&#39;s.  I&#39;m still not sure why this movie d<wbr />id not particularly reach me, but I did leave th<wbr />e theatre feeling flat.  Probably a mix of the m<wbr />ovie trying to be a little too funny in parts, t<wbr />he storyline jumping around and leaving what fel<wbr />t like gaps or for me an unsatisfactory ending, <wbr />in a movie I was really hoping to like, it just <wbr />seemed so-so.
