"Mars Needs Moms" has received many criticizing reviews--but why? The film features a good story, a good cast, and a visually-unique style. So why is this film turning off attendance?

One word:

The aliens are some of the ugliest creatures I've ever seen. Granted, I've never seen a "real" alien in person, but those I've seen in films, the kind that are "civilized" like the aliens in "Mars Needs Moms," are--to put it simply--revolting.

Other than that, the film has a good theme; and if you have even an ounce of humanity in your soul, those 3D glasses of yours may fog up near the end of sci-fi journey.

Speaking of 3D glasses, out of the past 5 3D films I've seen, this one actually ranks at the top of my list. If you're thinking about seeing "Mars Needs Moms," see it in theaters and see it in 3D. That's what it was made for. The flat DVD screening will not do the film justice.
