    my daughter enjoyed it

    Me n my daughter (2 years old) saw this a few days ago at a screening we won tickets.
    And I thought it was cute. A bit on the creepy side at times but cute. Overall my daughter loved it. She laughed n yelled goooo n clapped n screamed dog the whole movie. A couple times she covered her eyes n hid her face in my shirt n said moommmm no. So it's up to the parent to know if a movie like this is okay

    Just a Plain Weenie

    To start, I'm not a great Tim Burton fan but do appreciate some of his movies. With the good reviews the movie was getting and the trailer, we thought it might be something we would like along with our young daughter who loves "monster" movies. (She loved "Hotel Transylvania.") The movie was Burton's usual dark format and the little boy in the movie collecting the dead carcass of his dog was a bit too morbid for us and our daughter. Also, our daughter lost interest in the movie almost immediately. We left about 1/3 of the way into the movie and asked for our money back. I'm not criticizing people who like Tim Burton and I'm always curious to see new works from different directors--even those I don't generally like but I personally think that Burton's approach is getting old and there are adifferent actors out there besides Wynona Ryder and Johnny Depp. I would like to see Burton do something REALLY different for a change. But, I guess, he doesn't have to.
