If you've seen the long trailer then you've seen much of the plot. Not great but ok. There were some homages to other classic monster films, but they didn't add much entertainment value. Worth seeing in the theater but not worth buying on BluRay.
Hotel Transylvania and ParaNorman are better.

I like it! I took my 11 year old twins and we really enjoyed it. It was a bit short, but it was worth it. I say go see it, it will make you laugh. I sure did.

As always, Tim Burton delivers!! This review may border on biased, as I am a fan of Tim Burton. The movie was wonderful in a sense of that it had the action and excitement of horror flix of yesteryear. From the Professor that reminds me of (and I am sure a lot of other who remember) Vincent Price. To steal a term from Scooby Doo cartoons, it hall the usual suspects of "groovy ghoulies". Elsa Van Helsig was adorable, especially bc she was played by Winona Ryder. The movie will be an instant classic and I am sure you will be able to buy over-priced memorabilia at Disneyland and Downtown Disney. MUST GO!!!

When you were younger and had a pet, particularly a dog, then you may rekindle past feelings. That's what I experienced. A boy's best friend was his dog, and when the day happened that his dog died, it makes you remember when your pet died too. Through what you already know from Mary Shelly's "Frankenstein," happens, you want to see and hear that familiar bark again. It's funny how animals can make us feel. Lastly, I saw it in 3D - however, not surprising, 2D is satisfactory enough.

When I first saw this movie I will admit I was rather freaked out with the appearance of some characters, including the children. The movie was funny. There was kind of a lesson to be learned with science. It was an emotional movie.
if you are a parent, I may not bring the younger children. Teens, I would definitely let them see this movie.
