Just saw "Frankenweenie" it was so good!!! I love Tim Burton!! I have never seen anything of his that I don't love, "The Nightmare Before Christmas" "Corpse Bride" "Alice In Wonderland" "Coraline" just to name a few, they are all good!! This cartoon movie is in Black and White like "The Nightmare Before Christmas" its in the same story line as "Frankenstein" but with a dog. I love that this is a Disney movie. I didn't see it in 3D, because 3D makes me dizzy. I hate that all the Cartoon movies and some live action movies are going 3D. But anyway if you like Tim Burton then go see this movie!!!

Just a very average movie. Boys were disappointed. Did not keep their attention. Not a terrbile movie, but would not recommend for younger viewers. As an adult, I was bored as well.

I took my 4 year old son to see Frankenweenie last night and we liked it. It reminded me alot of Corpse Bride but most of Tim Burton's animated movies seem to be the same. It was cute.

Hit and Miss

This film suffers from uneven plotting, and an identity crisis: is it supposed to be funny, creepy, heartwarming or scary? It seems to try to be all of them, and in the process fails to truly be any of them. It needed more humor (i.e., more Edgar, and more of the new teacher). The beginning was engaging, with a lot of character interaction. The middle was plodding and dull at times. The end was a traditional monster movie. I can't say it's for little kids, given the deaths and monsters, and it wouldn't hold their attention anyway. I'd say this one is really only for Tim Burton fans.

Frankenweenie

I really liked it. I am a really big Tim Burton fan, so my opinion may be biased, but I loved the B&W effect, the story, the characters, and the eerie ghoulishness. If you have seen Burton's early films of Victor and Frankenweenie (short version, non-animated) and can appreicate them, then you will enjoy this movie. One thing to keep in mind for kids is that although the movie is not scary it does have a couple sad moments that could upset young children under 5-7 (approx.). I guess just use your judgement when it comes to taking kids to see this movie.
