Good Movie, what you'd expect from Burton

Took my 9yo daughter to see it in IMAX quality. Movie is a fun show, with a dark undertone. Again, typical of Burton. My 9yo kept saying Gross, but laughed throughout.

Good show. Don't waste the extra money on IMAX though. In fact, 3D is probably overkill on this one. Just my opinion though.

    Great family movie!

Fun for everyone! For adults keeping track of old movie references per minute is a fun challenge. Young kids will like the pace and style of the movie -- even thought it is a B&W format! The IMAX 3D was one of the best uses of this technology I've experienced on screen.

    Another great Tim Burton movie!

If you love Tim Burton's films then you won't be disappointed with this clever title. Frankenweenie is a somewhat dark but funny and cute film with great characters and a fun plot.

    Twisted Disney.

This is a really good movie. Fantastic animation, and a Disney-ized telling of Frankenstein. Try something different, take your kids and watch them enjoy a story with a lot more depth. It's truly entertaining.

    Did not like

    by

Black an white, but could get past this, the first half had some cute parts, but really did not like the violence level, nor the ending. NOT for children that may fear monsters. Very "dark" film.

    Great Ride!

Thoroughly enjoyable story and characters for all ages. Great nods to the classic horror and sci-fi films.

Tim Burton rocked it one more time

    by kso721

Frankenweenie was absolutely DOPE! Visual textures and stylings were breathtaking. Even almost got teary eyed a few times.... Soft spot for dogs i guess. Tim Burton killed it one more time. So beautifully done. Paid many many homages to previous thrillers besides the obvious Frankenstein. ie, Godzilla, Beetlejuice, Pet Cemetery, just to name a few. While a little loud in the IMAX setting with the lightning for younger more docile children, it's good fun for the whole family. Highly suggest it even if you're not taking the kiddos. Surprise was my 2 yo daughter sitting through the whole thing?her first movie experience.

    Great Funny Flick

    by Hydro99

I actually went to see this thinking it was another movie but realized quickly that this was a wonderful misunderstanding. This movie has great writing, very interesting characters, and a lot of laughs. The story is also touching and it is relatable for anyone that has lost a pet. I think this is a great halloween outing for any family.

    Good Fun

Not one of Burton's best, but still a fun movie to see with the family. Although it might be too scary for kids under 7, my 8 and 11 year old had a good time.

    Loved it!

A couple parts that actually brought tears to my eyes because I have a dog and it touched my heart! But we really enjoyed the movie and would see it again!
If you're not a fan of Tim Burton's work, you may not like this film.

    Very odd, rather stupid

    by jcdanz

What a waste of ImaX 3-D, even more so as it is in black and white!
