Not for young children

I tried to take my 5-year-old daughter to see this, and we had to leave before it was over, as she was terrified of the "dead-pets-turned-into-monsters" near the end.

We're huge fans of Tim Burton, and we couldn't wait to see this movie. Frankenweenie did not disappoint! It's an adorable story about a boy and his best friend. It's so well done, and throughout the film, there were nods to old sci-fi movies and characters. My whole family absolutely loved this film.

Not a Good Burton Film

This movie is a typical Tim Burton animation. In black and white, it is just as quirky as "Nightmare Before Christmas", "Beetlejuice" and "Corpse Bride". However, it takes a dark turn reminiscent of Stephen King's "Pet Sematary". I felt this movie was not fun or cute in any way. I certainly would not recommend it. And, if you are wondering, definitely not a children's movie. Save your money on this one...go see "Hotel Transylvania" instead!
