    Normally, this would be my cup of tea.

    Le sigh. It was so close to being a classic Tim Burton film, but it missed the mark. Overall, good story, but it was just boring.

    We're huge fans of Tim Burton, and we couldn't wait to see this movie. Frankenweenie did not disappoint! It's an adorable story about a boy and his best friend. It's so well done, and throughout the film, there were nods to old sci-fi movies and characters. My whole family absolutely loved this film.

    Not a Good Burton Film

    This movie is a typical Tim Burton animation. In black and white, it is just as quirky as "Nightmare Before Christmas", "Beetlejuice" and "Corpse Bride". However, it takes a dark turn reminiscent of Stephen King's "Pet Sematary". I felt this movie was not fun or cute in any way. I certainly would not recommend it.
    And, if you are wondering, definitely not a children's movie.

    Save your money on this one...go see "Hotel Transylvania" instead!

    If you like Burton...

    Then you'll like this movie. Animation was nicely done. Story and production is what you would expect from a Disney flick. Nice amount of horror film references that adults would get. Worth the price of admission.

    The children and adults in the theater last night all appeared to have fallen for Sparky.
