    Must See

This was one of the most clever movies in years. You will love the villain and the hero. It was suspenseful and entertaining at the same time. Acting on all parts was great but Anthony Hopkins is brilliant. A little slow 3/4 the way through but it picked up speed again. Made that 15 minutes of slow time worthwhile.

    Fracture

Here is yet another academy award winning performance by Hopkins slated for the "master-mind killers" hall of fame. As Tina Turner would say, "he's simply the best!"

No Need To "Set" This "Fracture"

    by gasparm

Fracture is a very adequate cat and mouse type suspense thriller, elevated by brilliant acting by both Anthony Hopkins and Ryan Gosling. This inspired duo elevated this film from a Lifetime movie - of- the- week to a an A level motion picture. Despite almost nonsensical circumstances...ex How did he gain accees to the hotel room key? this film keeps you riveted solely through the two leads acting ability. Nobody plays borderline ps ycho better than Hopkins, and Ryan Gosling who has proven from one film to another that his acting is both intelligent and charismatic in a very natural way. The cimematography is spot on, and the supporting cast, especially Billy Burke is outstanding too. You will not do better than to see this film either on a Saturday evening or a Sunday afternoon.

    great premise--weak ending

i loved just about every aspect of this film except the ending. beautiful cinematography and use of light, compelling performances from the two leads, but i felt like the filmmakers were afraid to commit fully to their premise and buck the convention of a typical hollywood ending. it was obvious this film was marketed to appeal to people who love a good psychological thriller. this fact, coupled with the film's heavy use of the complexities of the legal system and crime scene investigation tactics as major plot devices implies that the audience this film is made for is intelligent. it seemed half-hearted of the filmmakers to conclude this artful, carefully-told story with such an implausible and unfulfilling ending.

An elegant movie with an inelegant hero

A fidgety, gum-chewing Ryan Gosling attempts to revolutionize the prosecutorial role and only manages to be annoying. In lieu of the respectable, well-spoken attorney, he plays a cocky prosecutor who chooses not to outgrow his common origin. Somehow the movie expects us to believe that he is a very successful prosecutor. (As a jury member I would vote to acquit just to be spiteful.) Rosamund Pike delivers another non-blinking performance. Looking like an emaciated version of young Sharon Stone, she is unconvincing as a high-powered lawyer. Hopkins makes up for Gosling and Pike.

    Fracture

This was a good movie..a bit slow at times. Definately worth seeing on DVD, but not necessarily a "big screen movie". Ryan Gosling was very good in this role and of course Anthony Hopkins is always great at being CREEPY, and he is in this movie!! See it...later.

    Fracture

The movie was good. I liked the acting and it had a few funny parts here and there. It got a little to slow for me though. The ending is great. i would reccomend seeing it during matinee hours.

    Fractured?

    by Kina021

I loved this movie. It had a lot of humor and suspense. It's hard to tell whats going to happen. Hopkins' character frustrated me to no end. Seeing him walk out of court really irked me. Gosling's portrayal of a cocky lawyer was good. He had the right expressions. I liked the ending a lot, but it left you wondering what really happened. Did Hopkins go to jail? Did Gosling get the job at Wooton Sims, Did he go back with his love interest? Too much was left up in the air, which made it seem like a sequel was needed, but it would seem better as a tv show if they ever thought of it.
