My favorite movie of all time!

Director Richard Elfman is pure genius. I can't wait to see what he does with the sequel!

    Forbidden Zone Rocks!

I have been a fan of Forbidden Zone since I rented the washed out VHS tape in the early 90's on the recommendation of a friend. I was hooked ever since. The DVD release was wonderful but when I heard they were showing a color version I was a bit skeptical but any chance to see the movie on the big screen and I'm there. I'm not a fan of colorizing movies but Richard Elfman explained that the movie was meant to be hand tinted when it came out and that this version is the way the movie was meant to be seen. Knowing that I was able to set aside my preconceived notions about colorization and just enjoy the movie. The color really brings out the artwork of the backgrounds and highlights a lot of the art design that is easily missed when you see it in black and white. If you have never seen Forbidden Zone I highly recommend it. It's insane, offensive, nasty and funny as hell. It's like a live action cartoon. You'll find yourself dancing in your seat and just having a great time.

    Forbidden Zone (color)

Wonderfully wacky Elfman film created for the "Midnight Cult Classic Film Fan! Think. Danny Elfman meets Rocky Horror meets Monty Python meets Sid and Marty Kroft. Very entertaining!
