Denzel does not disappoint
by
I didn't know what this movie was going to be about before watching it, so I kept an open mind. The biggest thing that drew me to this movie was the star: Denzel Washington. Amazing actor in every other film he's been in and continues to deliver in this film. He plays a drugged up pilot that is very dependable behind the controls, doing maneuvers no other pilot can do (in the movie, other pilots try and fail miserably). From the opening scene, you are sucked in. He is laying on a bed, a naked lady walking around a little too much, apparently incapacitated from a night of sex and drugs and has to fly a plane with 102 souls on board. He does a line of coke, orange juice and vodka, and a little bit of oxygen to get him in the right mindset. He is very charasmatic and very convincing. I couldn't breathe through half of the movie because I was so engrossed in the movie. I was rooting for him until the end. This is definitely not a movie to go see with the kids
