Five Minutes of Heaven

This story of a man trying to redeem himself and another trying to seek revenge was well-crafted and well-acted. There were some slow parts of the film and while there are some early scenes referring to the violence occurring during the time, there was little background into the cause. If you already know about what is going on in Ireland during the time, then that's ok. There was little character background for the person that was killed or how much he was involved. Where the film succeeds, though, is how it shows the conflict in both main characters as adults. This film most likely will appeal to adults over 30. It is very thought provoking and raises a lot of questions about the desire to belong and how far one will go for revenge.
Caution: While the film is in English, thick accents may make it difficult for some to understand.
