Trailer: Disney's 'Wreck-It Ralph' Chats with Classic Video Game Bad Guys

By: Derrick Deane on June 6, 2012 at 11:14AM Comments (4)

Yesterday brought glimpses of Disney's Wreck-It Ralph, an animated film that has pretty much flown under the radar thus far. Featuring the voice work of John C. Reilly as the title character, Wreck-It Ralph follows the bad guy in a classic arcade game as he goes game-hopping, tired of playing the villain. We presume there will ultimately be the usual "be the best person you can be" or "everyone has a role to fulfill" message that we find in Disney movies.

The first trailer features a host of classic video game bad guys including Bowser and Wario from the Super Mario Bros. franchise and Zangief and Bison from Street Fighter among a host of others. The film hits theaters November 12 and co-stars the voices of Sarah Silverman, Jack McBrayer (30 Rock), Jane Lynch and Brandon T. Jackson (Tropic Thunder).

Just letting you know, the person you are referring to as "Wario" is actually "Dr.Robotnik a.k.a. Dr.Eggman" from the Sonic the Hedgehog series. Wario is not in the trailer. But Chun-Li is...on the bottom right hand of the Train Station Scene. And, a Burger Time cameo on the top left of the same scene.
