A Danish documentary that follows 28-year-old filmmaker Sami Saif as he attempts to locate his long lost father, Family is Saif's cinematic attempt to discover his roots and work out some lingering emotional issues in the process. Assisted by supportive girlfriend Phie Ambo, Saif's search reveals a father who seemed almost determined to abandon those who cared most for him.
