    Original buzz:

NoI will not see this movie!

     by  jaja68

When I found out about this movie I lost any respect I had for Ben. I think this movie is a joke and will not waste my money or time on it. I think this is just more of the Christian propaganda.
Recently I read a statement from a creationist who claimed that scientists are being dishonest when they talk about evolution. This person believed that evolution was being misrepresented to the public. The real problem is that the public, and creationists, do not understand what evolution is all about. This person's definition of evolution was very different from the common scientific definition and as a consequence he was unable to understand what evolutionary biology really meant. This is the same person who claimed that one could not "believe" in evolution and still be religious! But once we realize that evolution is simply "a process that results in heritable changes in a population spread over many generations" it seems a little silly to pretend that this excludes religion!

Expelled - A movie that makes you think

Very thought provoking movie. Our society seems to have no clue or care what is being taught in our schools as truth but is completely false. WHY? The research was compelling and hard to believe it is ignored and life goes on.

    Expelled: No Intelligence Allowed

It is amazing how "the majority" is trying to silence "the minority" who have a different view than they do. What are the Darwin THEORY people afraid of by showing both sides of the coin? There is no way to PROVE either view--the Darwin Theory or the Theory of Intelligent Design. Why can't both sides be presented, and EVERYONE be allowed to hear/see/study both sides and come to their own opinion or conclusion. If the proponents of the Darwin Theory were more sure of their belief, they wouldn't mind putting it up against anything else, including the Intelligent Design Theory, but instead of a fair and honest look at both sides, they are trying to squelch the opposing view. Watch this movie/documentary and have your eyes opened.

    Expelled: No Intelligence Allowed

This movie comes at you at different levels but the main focus is on extermination of freedom of scientific expression or thought in the classroom. Those that are in the current main stream of the science academe and advocates of "closed minded thinking" come out sounding like babbling idiots as they try to support their position and theories. Ben Stein does a good job of bringing out the true focus of the movie without showcasing any position. Humorous and thought provoking this movie is worth seeing at any age.

A fresh look at an old argument - an argument alreadt lost!

     by  Seymour_Phylms

Although I enjoy Ben Stein as an economist, his venture into documentary entertainment was not satisfying. For those with an inferior education and very limited scientific knowledge, ?Expelled: No Intelligence Allowed? will sound like a great ?wake-up call.? Sadly, however, PBS?s Nova made a documentary called ?Judgment Day: Intelligent Design on Trial? that answered the very questions that Ben Stein tried to raise. It would have been nice if Ben had done his homework prior to filming ?Expelled: No Intelligence Allowed.? For a fair balance of the issues, see: http://***pbs.org/wgbh/nova/id/

Expelled a great look at the state of affairs in the scientific community

     by  gandkink

With Expelled, Ben Stein takes a long, hard look at the state of scientific thought and academic freedom in America. Although it is not a completely unbiased look, it is still a needed wake-up call for American academia, who claim to value academic freedom, but often fall into the trap of human nature to favor those arguments with which you agree.

    Insightful, Witty, Sometimes-Exaggerative, Yet Alarming

All speech is not free speech in the scientific community. Ben Stein raises the alarm with this comical yet sobering film. Sure, he inserts slapstick comedy and uses camera angle and lens to portray the speech police in a particularly dark way. Yet he raises a point denied by the scientific community and brings to light the dark side of funding, publishing, and tenuring in the science world. Raises good questions you must grapple with.

    Expelled No Intelligence Allowed

Ben Stein has created a balanced review of some need-to-know-to-be-properly informed data that influences genetics and DNA technology. Questions need to be asked so new science discoveries can be made. Someday your body and your health may need the results that research could further develop . The movie's Illustrations of the internal working of the human cell are too vital to ignore. The structures of human proteins and the mechanisms of DNA's influence on each human cell function must have an impact on our health although the movie's aim is only to get the data to the table of academian research. Why is science turning down science for the sake of a biased worldview? The microbiologist's knowledge can enhance technology for our health's sake. Please! The life you save by allowing technology to proceed with the knowledge these microbiologists have discovered may be your own.

See this movie. Consider the needs of technology - and science - and health and then argue with me!
