I'm not familiar with Vermeer's entire oeuvre so I don't know whether the pictures seen in the movie were representative of his art. They did seem "ordinary.
I'm hearing impaired and couldn't understand the voiceover which detracted from my enjoyment. I would have liked captioning but AMC doesn't yet have that facility and the movie producers chose not to provide it.
There were no more than 20 people in the audience which is sad. I notified a number of senior ed classmates about the movie but none attended.

The movie was excellent. As a person who is holding timed tickets for the Vermeer at the Frick, it was a wonderful way to prepare for the exhibit. I truly hope that these films continue to be offered. I also appreciate the ability to obtain tickets online. I would encourage you , however, to offer a second showing as with the Met Opera online allowing some of us who are interested but have a scheduling conflict to have another option.
Keep up the good work!!

Great presentation, but I only heard about it from a friend the day before the showing at Regal Shoppingtown, Dewitt, NY. Why no publicity?
and why does Syracuse area not receive NT Live???

Well done documentary concentrating primarily on a set of Vermeer's paintings in the National Gallery , London. Good interviews and discussions of these, and a few other pieces of the period.

I thought the movie was wonderful. I knew nothing about the artist and the music.and how he lived and the imagination to paint the way he did without having the surroundings that he put into the paintings.
There should be more movies like this profiling other artists who did such wonderful
