I admit I'm a read movie buff especially horror movies. I can say I have not been happy with the crap that has been coming out of Hollywood the last few years but, this one was pretty good. It had my heart going(which is rare for me) and the special effect weren't over the top. The cons were, I thought the last few moments were a little too cliche. Directors still don't know how to end a movie. All in all it makes my list of must sees.

The movie is different from the original.yet has similarities. Seeing the original will not spoil this movie. If you're a fan of Evil Dead, you must see this movie. Also, there are a few surprises to be had. Enjoy!!

Gore galore, terrifying imagery, and oh so much blood!! The last 10 minutes will have your @$$ eating your theater chair, right after you've crapped your pants from everything else. Not many remakes do it for me, but this one delivers more than I could've ever expected. The actors were perfect for their roles and the directing and production were top-notch. There is absolutely nothing "feel-good" or warm & happy about this Evil Dead. It's dark, gloomy, and gut-wrenching from the get go. I probably would NOT take children under 13 and only those above 13 that can handle massive amounts of gore and blood and literally the most horrific, demonic-possession-themed images ever crafted by an obviously superb special effects team. Not for the faint at heart or fragile-minded individuals.

I had high hopes for the latest incarnation of this movie. Really, I did. In today's age of "borrowing" ideas from the old to add to the new (*read as plagiarizing*), I entertained hopes this particular movie might present a new and innovative take on an old classic. I was at least partially wrong.
The original movie incorporated an incredibly terrifying "flying camera" tactic that up until that point had never been utilized in a horror movie, and in that respect, the new movie did not disappoint. What did fail to meet my expectations was the almost immediacy in which the stars of this movie began getting killed off. There was no real build up of tension or feelings of "Oh my god, here comes something bad, but when will it strike?" that is expected of today's modern horror films. Ok, so maybe the Hitchcock school of film making has been so overused since the original ED was released that maybe I was hoping for a new concept on this old classic. Either way, this film failed to scare.

Yep Epic it is!
I really enjoyed this flick! The lead female was perfect for the role and she did exceptional well in portraying someone who is possessed. She was all over evil!!
Im sure the following for the original movie wont be disappointed with this version.
Blood and blood everywhere!
