Horrifyingly Terrific!

Gore galore, terrifying imagery, and oh so much blood!! The last 10 minutes will have your @$$ eating your theater chair, right after you've crapped your pants from everything else. Not many remakes do it for me, but this one delivers more than I could've ever expected. The actors were perfect for their roles and the directing and production were top-notch. There is absolutely nothing "feel-good" or warm & happy about this Evil Dead. It's dark, gloomy, and gut-wrenching from the get go. I probably would NOT take children under 13 and only those above 13 that can handle massive amounts of gore and blood and literally the most horrific, demonic-possession-themed images ever crafted by an obviously superb special effects team. Not for the faint at heart or fragile-minded individuals.

I'm not good with reviews but I will say this movie was very good. It was very good and crazy but a very good remake of the original. Loved every moment of it.

Better Than Original Hands Down!!!

Great movie remake with a more serious horror overtone vs original movie comedy-like feel. The gore was fabulous & overall movie was well delivered. Now anxious about a Prequel or Sequel. This is definitely a must see for horror & gore fans!!! You truly won't be disappointed!!!

Too much gore and too little plot

There is virtually no set-up for the story line - the characters just appear in the woods at a cabin. The gore made me physically ill at least twice, and I'm *not* the type of person to have such a reaction to a movie. The acting was respectable, and the effects were convincing - as evidenced by the audience's reaction to the gore. Wait for it on Netflix.

More gory than Original

This version is so gory, the original version is more like a PG version now. No jerky humor in this one. If you are an Evil Dead fan or even a true gore fan, you must see this one. A couple of references from original movie during the movie and after the credits.
