Full disclosure, I'm not a horror movie aficionada or geek. I only watch them on the rare occasion.
I found this movie so formulaic it was comical. Lots of jump scares to get the adrenaline going but other than that, I was giggling. The acting was mediocre, the characters were the right level of unintelligent to get themselves killed, the villain was a mix of the Grudge and a foul mouthed high schooler.
That said, it was probably perfect for it's genre so it was so-so for me.

I'm not a gore fan. You see one dismemberment you've seen them all, but some people get off on that kind of stuff. The movie has a ton of gore. Gore up the yang. There is no fear anywhere in the movie. Unlike the original there is no Ashe character or anyone like Ashe and I think that was a mistake because you have no one to root for in the movie. I give it a so-so because that's how it is. You blood and guts fans will love it no doubt because that's all the movie really has.

A lot of gore for gore's sake. Would have liked more intrigue and suspense. Wasn't scared; just a lot of cringing at gross-out scenes. Consider this movie a waste of my money. Definitely recommend waiting until it comes out in Red Box!

This movie was awesome. Kept it in the same bounds as the original's gore. Also, almost every horror flick has graphic sex and this one did not. It fully relied on its violence/blood/terror sequence to keep your attention. Ant it did a fantastic job of doing so.

This movie was actually better than I thought it would be. A little gorier than I thought as well, however I should have known better. It even had a little humor in it all well. A jumped a few times and I love when a movie can make me do that. So I say it is worth seeing.
