It had it's moments...
Here is a no brainer to add to the rule book. If a movie is advertised on Pat Robertson's 700 club, don't see it. Run away, hide the wallet, have someone tie you down. This saves you from buying sea sickness medicine. Evan Almighty had an hour feature on the 700 Club. I didn't find this out until after I saw the movie. The draw to the movie is Steve Carrell and Morgan Freeman. Both actors can be tremendously talented and funny. Too bad the buck stopped there. The script, to put it in Pat Robertson's words, should be assassinated. Nearly all the actors had to stretch to fill the dialogue void. At the bottom of the void is a sucking sound made by Lauren Graham--Evan's wife. Her inability to stretch along with the inadequate script made it a sick day at the movies. Due to a lack of space, I can only write a few words about the story. So, here goes: Evan Almighty has elephants. If you like elephants, go see this movie. But I can only give this film two elephant poops down.
