Saw this in 3D - took my grandchildren. The graphics were good and entertaining - but the plot and dialogue were nothing more than typical political correctness: global warming, military generals as evil, etc. Why can't Hollywood keep their politics to themselves and just entertain. Who cares what they think?

This is a brainless film, almost entirely lacking in imagination, It's so derivative but without adding anything to its sources. The adult wisecracking over the heads of kids is lame, stale and predictable. Everything about this film is formulaic. And the endless violence is offensive, since this film is being marketed to young children. The family relationships are shallow. The humiliation between silblings, while "resolved" at the end, falls short of any true emotional understanding. As grandparents, we have seen many children's films with our grandkids. Our 8-year old granddaughter said she "liked" the film, but she said not a word about it afterwards, a sure sign that it meant nothing to her. The creative team at Dreamworks has done, and I'm sure can do, better.

Some great voice performances (Brendan Fraser, Sarah Jessica Parker and especially William Shatner)graced this animated film, but the story was not all that hot. My nine-year-old granddaughter was bored well before the end.

My 8 year olds enjoyed Escape From Planet Earth and actually so did I. It was cute, had a good storyline, not a lot of adult humor, and a good voice cast. We recommend it!

Overall good 'kid-flick' without insulting the intelligence. Good fun, and good to hear some familiar voices. Includes a recognition of some of us 'old-timers' by having a nod to the Beatles.
Clean, funny, tried-and-true plot with a new twist.
Might be worth saving the theatre money and simply buying it when it comes out.
