This was light enough fare that my 5-year old enjoyed it, and didn't have anything too violent for either kid. The different faerie creatures were very well done. I liked the storyline, but personally, and I know this varies from person to person, I would have preferred to have seen a bit more loss/sacrifice from some major characters. Even with that quibble, really, this movie wasn't intended for my age. It's not Howl's Moving Castle or Spirited Away.
Yes, it was sufficiently fun that I had a good time watching it (better than the Guardians/Holiday one from December), but the kids had a better time, and I couldn't ask for more on a rainy holiday weekend. Anytime we leave the theatre with uneaten popcorn because they were too busy with the show is money well spent.

We took our daughter to see this on Sunday. My husband was reluctant at first but decided to join us. We all LOVED it! It's a classic fantasy story of good v. evil. But, at the heart of it all, it's also about teamwork, love and family, and understanding the perspectives of others. There's a perfect blend of drama and comedy to make it worth watching for both children and adults. My daughter has been obsessed with the movie since we came home...might take her to see it again.

went with so-so expectations from yet another kids movie. Seriously one of the best
animated films ever. Very good. I might even go see it in 3D. Not every movie deserves to be seen in 3D - I'll bet this one does...I'll let you know if I was wrong. Loved it!

Found it, to be very entertaining for my Grand daughters; in which they are 7 yrs. difference in age. They both seem to enjoy the venture to the movie and very delighted with the selection of Epic. I would say that they were quite pleased.

The movie was well crafted and entertaining for all members of the family. For anyone who enjoyed the Rise of the Guardians you will again be treated to the imaginative characters from the world of William Joyce. We have already seen it twice and I found even more details the second time around. I highly encourage you to catch this one at the theaters so that you can get the full rich detail of the world of the Leaf-men.
