Fairly good show, never got bored. Although it was a bit corny in places, and maybe just a little predictable. Great scenery throughout, defiantly worth seeing.

I enjoyed EPIC. I thought it was very funny and cute. Not to mention the graphics were SPECTACULAR! .... But, and there is a but, it was a little predictable as far as plot and the voices, specifically Queen Tara's, were a little.... Well let's just say the inflections and tonal things didn't quite match up with the context of what she was saying. I say Beyonce half assed the whole thing but, i don't know. Anyway, i still think it's worth going just for the fact that it was beautifully done AND BONUS: Josh Hutcherson is the voice of Nod! Alright I hope this helps.

There are some truly magical moments in this film; but it lacks a wow factor or emotional hook. When it comes to animation I have to compare all of them to Pixar. One big thing I noticed in this film was that the foregrounds are clear, bright and with sharp crisp lines. However, the backgrounds look like they were shot with soft focal lenses. They are not vividly colored, sharp or crisp. It is so noticeable that it easily catches your attention and that's not a good thing. The story is political and I don't like that in a children's film; but that seems to be what Hollywood is now doing to push their messages. When I watched BRAVE and TANGLED I forgot at times I was watching animation and was watching a real movie. Blue Sky animation for some reason does not obtain that level of perfection. I never forgot I was watching animation when I saw this Blue Sky film. I gave this a GO review because it is a good film. It could have been better and I think in the future Blue Sky will improve.

epic could be renamed 'adequate'.

I went with my 10 y/o daughter and 7 y/o son. They both seemed to like it, although I think they liked the Croods better. Animation was great of course. Story, so-so. I enjoyed Steven Tyler's role and the snail and slug comedic portions.

I had my hopes of for this one because there was so many awesome and epic things they could have done with the idea, but they didn't do it. Other then the visuals it was very bland and predictable. Even the characters seemed very bland and seen-it-before. It's worth going to see on a boring day for something to do, but only if you get cheap tickets.
