Epic does not live up to its name. Its rare for a big budget animated movie to miss the mark. Epic is mildly entertaining. Epic takes the same honey-I-shrunk-the-forest-savior that Fern Gully took in the 90's. It's unfortunate that Epic fails to meet the fun factor and cohesive plot and character development of Fern Gully. Beyonce should not be a voice actress. The visuals come close to being as stunning as Fern Gully's were at the time.
Epic did hold the attention of the kids in the theater. There is quite a bit of animated violence including a few deaths of both good and bad guys. The villain and his minions may scare small children. I love animated movies, but this isn't one of them. Unless you have to take the kids to something, I'd wait to rent this one.
There were no scenes during or after the credits

I love the aniation, I went to the movie with my sister 7 years old and was little bored. Really I liked the story line @ the begun and later the story line was jump between characters.

Good story and likeable characters. Not as many laughs as I would have liked. Some kids might be upset in a few scenes due to emotional content. The 3D was excellent. The world felt very real. When this hits DVD I will definitely buy it, and I have no kids!

It was a cute movie, and the kids enjoyed it. Wasn't able to hold the attention of my four year old boy, but the girls (8, 12) loved it!

First 40 minutes are tediously boring. I almost feel asleep.
Second half is better but nothing amazing. 3D was Ok but not the best I've
seen. Probably too high level a story for under 6. My son is 8 and liked it but
didn't love it, and we see almost every PG or G movie which is released and
appropriate for him.
Beyonce shouldn't be acting if this is any indication of her acting skills.
The other characters were nicely done.
