This movie is such a real life depiction of love after divorce. It's funny, it's sweet, it's emotional at times. Theres nothing over done or contrived. I loved it.

A real adult film

There's not a false note in the whole film. Real people, real life situations handled the way real people handle them, warts and all. Acting was terrific, but beyond the emotional scenes it was bittersweet right from the start as soon as Jim Gandolfini appeared on screen. He was so good that you can't help thinking you want to see more of him in this kind of role but never will. Be prepared to cry your eyes out.

Surprisingly complex, touching and sad

This is an adult movie as it centers on adult experiences and emotions. Painfully at times. Still, a very good screenplay, directing and acting creates a memorable experience, even a learning experience. Strong performances. I'll miss Gandolfini even more after this.

Six of us saw this movie together (three couples). We all loved it. The acting was outstanding and we so enjoyed the chemistry between Julia Louis Dreyfuss and James Gandolfini. All the supporting actors were excellent also. Highly recommend this movie, particularly to anyone over the age of 50.
