It was okay

The movie was okay. You got all your favorite TV acting in roles that seem unfamiliar. It felt like a sitcom and things just seemed out-of-place. There were a few funny Larry David-esque awkward moments. And the setting just seemed to be a but odd if you are from SoCal. Characteristic LA people, but if you are from the area you wonder how could they afford those houses, and why is the only ethnic person in the movie a maid? If you can suspend logic, this is a good sitcom; but the second half of the film you just waited for what you knew would happen to happen.

Written July 01, 2016 will love this. There's a wonderful script, full of true characters and wise insights about human nature, all wrapped up in delightful comic performances. What more could you want?

Much to Say!

Wonderful film. Very real, natural. Great chemistry between James Gandolfini and Julia Louis Dreyfus. I laughed and cried. Everyone from the kids to the housekeeper in very well-cast. A real treat and one of the few films that's completely worth the admission price.

I enjoyed the movie ~ Went to see it mainly because of James. It is sad that they talked about his weight in the movie and he passed away probably because of his weight. He played a very nice guy in the movie and I think he was a very nice guy in real life. Wanted to see it because of him. He did a much better job on Soprano's! But, he was good in this one...he will always be 'Tony Soprano' to me and most people.

This movie was better than I expected. It is cute, funny and sad all at once. There are some great funny moments in the movie and the actors are all convincing. The fact that James Gandolfini and the focus on his weight are part of the synopsis make it very sad. It is a heartwarming movie however and he and Louis-Dreyfuss make an adorable middle-aged couple. I loved the movie!
