Real and Intense

Jake Gyllenhall was fabulous, and so was his co-star Michael Pena. The movie depicted real life as a police officer in LA, and what they are up against. It was intense! I am the daughter of a retired NYPD officer. End of Watch truly told the story of what the Peace Officer "family" is all about.

If you love to watch movies for entertainment this is a must go. If you're a movie critic that hates all movies...don't go. End of is what it is...a violent, funny, sarcastic man movie. Have a good time.

Gave me a headache

The filming is all done with hand held cameras. It was made like a ride along with cops. It would have been okay if only some of the filming was done that way but it was over the top. The movie would jump from scene to scene with no transition what-so-ever. It was somewhat confusing. The plot I could live with. The filming was enough to upset your stomach.

End of Watch was my favorite movie of 2012. I'm surprised it didn't get more hype than it did. In short, it's about two hot shot LAPD officers, who could do no wrong, but find themselves in over their heads when they mess with the wrong gang. If you liked Training Day, you'll love End of Watch -- it's actually written and directed by the dude who wrote Tarining Day. The acting is great, the chemistry between characters is authentic, it was nicely shot, the soundtrack is good, and the plot will have you on the edge of your seat for the full 2 hours. It's a story that will have you thinking for a couple days. It almost gives you an appreciation for what it must be like being a cop in LA. End of Watch has all the action that action fans will want, and also has the plot and acting to back it up. It's a great movie. See it!

If the F word repeated over and over and over bothers you then please don't see this movie. It really doesn't bother me but my wife was pretty sick of it by the end of the movie. The acting and set design were really good...I have always liked Pena...Not for 15 and younger..I would have really liked to have rated it between a So-So & Go...
