THE best cop buddy movie in recent memory.

Not a perfect movie, some miscasting with a female banger came across as weak and too forced but the main focus was on Gyllenhall and Pena who are fantastically believable as partners first and macho hotshot cops 2nd. For ONCE I liked the handycam style of filming for most of the film here. Hate it for almost all other movies, especially those damn "Paranormal" flicks, but here it adds to the "grit" of southcentral LA perfectly and the believability of casual banter while on patrol. Not a "perfect" movie, some of the plot points stretch credulity and it ALMOST crosses it over from a film to a mindless actioner at one point, but then it reigns it back in. Overall excellent film.

I went into this thinking it was going to be an okay movie, but as soon as the first scene passed, I knew I was in for one hell of a ride! This movie has the best acting I have seen all year. It's so real that you forget at one point your watching a movie. As silly as it sounds in one point in the movie I felt like my life was on the line just as theirs. Superb job overall, people complain about too much cussing but in reality cops do cuss just as much as the guys in this movie. This is a movie I would see again a few times, YOU NEED TO SEE THIS MOVIE!

The Truth I Rather Not See

Slow in some parts, intense in others. Didn't like how the movie was filmed. Jump around to much. Movie was not smooth from scene to scene. Violence that I know exits but didn't need it to be in my face. The F bomb got old to the point you couldn't even understand what the gang members were trying to say.... With how things are now a days, probably would rather see something not so real..Good but yet So-So.

Real and Intense

Jake Gyllenhall was fabulous, and so was his co-star Michael Pena. The movie depicted real life as a police officer in LA, and what they are up against. It was intense! I am the daughter of a retired NYPD officer. End of Watch truly told the story of what the Peace Officer "family" is all about.

If you love to watch movies for entertainment this is a must go. If you're a movie critic that hates all movies...don't go. End of is what it is...a violent, funny, sarcastic man movie. Have a good time.
