    Where to begin...

Enchanted was so "bizarre" (as one of the audience members put it) that you couldnt help but laugh. Amy Adams and James Marsden are the perfect silly fairytale personalities that make this movie enjoyable for everyone. The cartoon and real-life parts of this movie borrow material from Disney classics, such as Cinderella, Sleeping Beauty, and Snow White. The chipmunk is hilarious and the best part of the movie. Take the kids.

Absolutely adorable movie for kids and adults! Disney has done it again!

    This was a great movie.
You will be happy you brought your kids to see it.
Disney always score with their animated films and this one had the best of both worlds. Susan Sarandon was fantastic as the queen!
My grandma came with and throughout the movie kept saying how happy it was making her. And that pretty much sums it up .

    I was suprised....

My 9 year old Daughter talked me into seeing this movie. I was thinking it would be dumb but it wasn't! I really enjoyed it and got "into" the story. It made me laugh and cry (just a little). Go see this! It really is very good.

Enchanted, a sweet box office blockbuster

    by hiltd

I went to the afternoon movie with a friend. You can't help walking away from the movie feeling light. The kids coming from the movie were are on high, they were that excited. Amy Adams is sensational and covers the transition from animation to live action so seemlessly you really believe in her innocence. As for the chipmunk, just flat out funny. My only idea of a marginal casting was Patrick Dempsey, who was so-so. I could have seen other actors who would have done a better job. Other then him, the movie was pitch perfect for kids and adults. Its a movie you will want to buy in DVD format and be prepared if you have kids to have to buy Giselle dolls

A feel good, smile on your face movie

    by crctboi

This movie is exactly what it presents itself as. We laughed at the subtle prods at all disney princesses and laughed at the "shrekish" humor intertwined into the story. We left feeling good and the movie made for a very pleasant evening. Anyone can enjoy this movie.

    "Enchanted"--And You Will Be! :O)

Gosh--what can I say about "Enchanted?" As a gay gent, it certainly has all of the elements that I always enjoy--a lovely and "in distress..." princess, a gorgeous prince, a bevy of "broadway-style" showtunes and everything that makes DISNEY the King of animation, film-making, and, currently, Broadway. :O)

It would be, in my humble opinion, hard to find any FAULT with "Enchanted." Save that is might be, at times, although fleeting, a bit SENTIMENTAL and a wee bit SMHALTZY. But, then, it is the holiday season and who can be mad about a bit of sentimentality and a wee bit of smhaltz, right? :O)

The cast is EXCELLENT and Miss Adams is a wonder--truly--as Giselle, our love-lorn, but a bit mis-guided, princess. She sings, dances and acts with a great sense of BELIEVEABILITY and, well, ENCHANTMENT. As our hero, Mr. Dempsey is, bestill my heart, most handsome, indeed, and services the script quite NICELY--to be sure! As for the rest--all are FABULOUS! :O)

    A REAL WINNER! :O)

Adults Will Appreciate More Than The Kids

    by Zeke

Although parents will take their kids to see Enchanted, this is one of the rare instances when parents will enjoy the movie more than the kids. This is because much of the humor of Enchanted can only be appreciated by adults. Key elements of humor; irony and sarcasm are foreign concepts to children. In today's society, a young suburban kid already views the world from a Disney animated perspective, so the harsh contrasts faced by the film's heroine are perhaps the first time the young audience member is being asked to consider such realities. On the other hand, adults see the naive simplity of the fairy tale characters contrasted with our hectic, anything but a fairy tale lives. The comparison may surprise some adults. Disney pokes fun at itself in this one and perhaps irreversibly antiques its early films. Lastly, there's a fine bit of casting toward the end of the movie, that will remain a surprise. Go see it, but don't feel guilty if you end up enjoying it more than your kid

    HILARIOUS!

I loved it! I feel like Disney successfully made a movie making fun of themselves. They took stereotypes and storylines from their classic movies like Snow White, Sleeping Beauty, Little Mermaid... well, everything... and turned it into a joke. They gave the audience a fairy tale, but altered it with a bit of reality... not much, but it worked. This movie is a lot of fun, and is great for the whole family. Guys may not like the idea of going to see this, but I think they'll get a good laugh. For girls, it's fun to relive all those classic Disney moments, and laugh at the absurdity of some of the characters. Overall, it?s just a fun movie.
My one pet-peeve was that Idina Menzel didn?t sing. I?m a big fan of hers, and I thought it was a waste not to have her sing.. but of course it wouldn?t have made much sense if her character did bust into song.

Enchanted -- Good movie but not for young kids

    by Russ Y.

I took my daughter to see this movie. She just turned 3 a few months ago, and this was her first movie in a theatre.

I personally really liked the movie. Thought the cast did a great job (especially the lead actress) and even enjoyed the song scenes (which I usually find to be over-the-top corny). However, the movie was a little to "mature" for my daughter. The plot line was a little to complicated, and the ending scenes got far too intense for her. I've spoken with other parents who had similar comments for kids at age 3.

Bottom line: Great movie, but probably not for kids under 4.

    Enchanted

It was good. A little cheesy in places but funny all around. Its interesting to see Patrick Dempsey and James Marsden singing and dancing. Not to mention the tights. But as a children's movie it is good. I wouldn't let a young child go see it tho.Like nothing under say 10. It may go over their heads a little.

    Incredibly Enjoyable and Delightful Film

    by ecc0903

Being a teenage girl, I grew up during the time when Disney was making such great movies as The Little Mermaid, The Lion King, Beauty and the Beast, etc. This is truly a return to greatness, I believe. Amy Adams as Giselle is fantastic - she embodies everything you believe a Disney Princess should be, yet makes the character all her own. A lot of the movie's charm and magic is from Amy Adams's truly great performance. This is definitely a film in which all ages could enjoy. It is a very smart and funny "kids" movie, with great performances and an entertaining plot.

Sweet and funny--knowing but still uplifting

    by onela22

Crucial elements of the story will remind you of other films--the practical man who learns joy from a woman (or a child); the fish out of water who shows us the wonder hidden in our very own world. But Amy Adams, as Giselle, makes every one of these motifs feel new again. Hilarious in Wedding Crashers, where she actually played an ironic variation on the same sweet naif, Adams sings, smiles, dances, and most of all gushes her way to your heart in every scene. Patrick Dempsey carries his weight as the taciturn Robert who learns to love life, and James Marsden is pitch perfect in a smaller role as the Prince--himself out of water in real-world New York--who sees everything as somehow reflecting his own perfect charm. It's funny enough for kids, sweet enough for a date, and knowing enough for a more sophisticated or cynical viewer. My audience of New Yorkers applauded enthusiastically at the ending, and some of us even cried.

    Enchanted

    by landit1

The movie was engrossing and "enchanting". We loved it. There were no cuss words, no gratuitous sex, and nothing but a delightful story that kept us entertained the whole time, and even touched us at times.
