Synopsis

A 15-year-old Mormon girl from Utah shocks her devoutly religious family by claiming she experienced immaculate conception thorough rock & roll music, and runs away from home to find the singer whose voice changed her life in this drama from first-time writer/director Rebecca Thomas. Rachel (Julia Garner) led a sheltered existence until the fateful moment she discovered rock music, and from that day forward her life would be forever changed. Three months after falling into rapture while hearing the music for the very first time, Rachel discovers she is pregnant. Although her parents (Billy Zane and Cynthia Watros) hastily attempt to remedy the situation by organizing an arranged marriage, Rachel rebels by running away to Las Vegas with her brother (Liam Aiken). There, amidst the bright lights of the sleepless city, Rachel and her brother cross paths with Clyde (Rory Culkin), a brash young rocker who shows them a side of life that had been carefully hidden from them since birth. ~ Jason Buchanan, Rovi
