  THIS MOVIE IS A CONSPIRACY

  The only positive thing I can say about this movie is the filming was good. It has the polish and look of a Hollywood Blockbuster. They just forgot the script and acting of a blockbuster. OMG what a BAD movie. Some parts were so bad they became funny. The conspiracy in this story is that this rotten movie suckered my & my family out of 50 bucks for tickets and movie snacks.
  
  Plot: tired, worn out copycat plot
  Acting: There was no acting
  Action: The action scenes were out of place and silly
  Cinemetography: pretty good, but why?
  
  I will never watch another movie from this cast of directors/actors.

  Echelon surprisingly good

  Okay, judging from all of the reviews on here and how mixed they are, I wasn't sure what to think of this one. Grabbed some tickets with a friend last night and watched this: and it was surprisingly GOOD. Great cast, love the conspiracy aspects (big brother IS after all always watching us these days... and for who's safety? ours or corporations?)
  
  Anyway, it had good action, great locations, and some pretty freaking sweet actors in it... And the lead female was amazingly gorgeous...
  
  Check it out if you aren't some cynical moviegoer that has lost the ability to enjoy a good old action film once in a while... you won't be disappointed...

  OMG this is a terrible movie!!!

  PLEASE, I beg of you, don't waste your time or money on this piece of cinematic rubbish!
  Bullet points explaining my distain:
  
  - Shane West + Worst actor (not to mention leading man) since Michael Moore
  - The decent casting (except Shane West) falsely draws you in, then you are totally betrayed
  - Either the stars they got to be in this were lied to, or they had some kind of anti-America agenda they thought they could fulfill by making a movie that frames America as a world evil and Russia (of all countries) as the defender of human rights!
  - Terrible script
  - Laughable acting by Shane West
  - Completely predictable storyline...not ONE twist that wasn't completely obvious.
  
  I could go on and on, but just believe me that this movie SUCKS!!!

  Echelon Man

  I honestly had no idea what this movie was going to be about when I bought the ticket. I wanted to watch something on opening day in a theater that just opened near my house yesterday. I was pleasantly surprised. It was a very entertaining film, even though it was basically Eagle Eye, with a different cast of actors and characters. The story may be recently done(really recently) but it was still done in a captivating manner.
  The very end, by the way, is far different from Eagle Eye, and one of the most awesome I've seen in years.
  
  I would recommend this film to anyone looking for an entertainingly good time; however, I would say it can wait for the video release and be a rental. I don't see very much replay value in this film.

  Echelon Conspiracy reminds me of The Net

  Good action and interesting story with all the high tech do-dads. We weren't bored but wish the backbground music had been less distracting and not so loud. Action was good especially
  Ving and the lead actor. We recognize the lead actor but can't place him. Husband loved the car chase scenes I don't like. I enjoyed the drama and action minus the loud sounds.

  exciting movie

  GOOD IDEAS - BAD DECISIONS

  ECHELON CONSPIRACY has some great ideas - much like the far better new film THE INTERNATIONAL - but made a key casting error in its lead of Shane West. He tries hard, but he just doesn't have the screen presence or weight to carry a movie of this ilk; the film is trying to have the same impact of a BOURNE movie, but they are missing Matt Damon in the lead role. An ambitious film, it was shot on several different continents with an diverse cast of note with stars of the indie world including Ving Rhames and Edward Burns plus legends such as Jonathan Pryce and Martin Sheen, but ultimately it cannot overcome the lack of presence in the lead and the many plot holes which in the very least are questionable. One certainly promising note is the lead actress - Tamara Feldman - who has an interesting look and possibilities as a femme fatale - reminds one of Vera Farmiga. If Feldman, who has been in various TV shows this decade, plays her cards correctly, she could ascend to cinema stardom.

  Yet another Hollywood statement over entertainment

  Take an interesting concept that intertwines Orwell and Asimov and transform it into a Hollywood lecture with political darts and huge plot holes. Did I mention the horrible acting? When you think (hope) it is over, they throw in a ridiculous scene to tie up a loose end where you find out that it was the Russian military that foresaw the error of our ways and helped us overcome our naivety. What?
  
  Hollywood used to entertain us, now they lecture us while tossing in the typical chase scenes, blood and gore, hot chick/sex scene, and yet another stupid ending. Pitiful.
  
  Please don't bother with this disaster.

  Can yo say "B" MOVIE!!

  Wondered why I hadn't seen any previews. Story is actually okay but it was torture watching it. And the postscript ending was right out of some Hollywood liberal's dream!!! See if you want, but don't say I didn't tell you not to.

  Stay home!

  Interesting concept but third rate execution

  Really a disappointment. Quite a few "WTF" moments. I can't believe that Martin Sheen, Ving, Burns, Pryce didn't wince at some of the lines they had to deliver.
  Since this wasn't advertised well nor picked up by one of the major houses, I should have been wary. You are warned....

  Worth the bucks

  Good action film with an interesting twist on the end. Also kept me guessing most of the way through the movie and was still surprised by the "who done it" at the end.
