The critics are idiots

This movie was AWESOME!!! The critics are idiots (like usual). It's action packed in a futuristic underworld of chaos. There is actually a fair amount of social commentary in the movie if you think about it (whether intention or not, who knows). But it got down to the nitty gritty and I like that in my movies.

Best action movie of 2012

I have seen this twice so far, once in 3D and another time in 2D. One of the best action movies I have seen this year. Forget all about the Stallone film and go see this, you will not be disappointed. Karl Urban is fast becoming a favorite of mine.

Kiddies stay away, as this film is brutal in its delivery and very gory. It earned its R rating and I walked away satisfied.

Please, please, please let there be a sequel.

if you are a Judge Dredd fan you must go

Drokking great flick, no fatties, no uglies but we got "Anderson's origin" keys hope we get to see Judge Death if they make another.
They did a great job sticking to JD cannon, no helmet off scenes, no humor either though, which for this tale works fine.
Lets hope there sell enough tix for a part two!

the new judgment

Shot in the style of The Raid: Redemption, Dredd has a lot to offer. This version brings all of the elements Stallone was unable to bring in the previous version. Namely a Dredd that seemed human, yet determined and unstoppable. Definitely worth a full price ticket.

Almost perfect adaptation

I've been a Judge Dress fan for almost 20 years and this movie was almost spot on perfect. Go see this movie and send a message to Hollywood. A message that you don't have to make a bland origin film to start a franchise.

The movie was fantastic! Great special effects, great action and the acting was awesome! I will be purchasing this one on blu ray when it comes out.

Dredd was awesome!

Kept right with the character of Dredd. Great effects. Expect a lot of gore, but well done gore. Wasn't as futuristic as I thought it would be but still really good. Only part I was surprised by was Dredd didn't take his helmet off the entire movie. If you're a Dredd fan, this is a must go. If you're new to Dredd, it's still an awesome movie. TONS of action. Great date night for us.

Did not dread the "Dredd"

I a enjoyed this movie even though it seemed to drag in a few parts. I though the clairvoyant should have been more active but what she did, she did well. I will see it again when it comes to TV. Definitely not for children!

Enjoyable Future Cop Story

After reading how this movie got cheated on Reddit, we went to see it. I agree that the marketing didn't do the movie any favors, it's much, much better than you would expect. A really interesting storyline and engaging characters. It is a bit slow in a few parts, where you wish the action would go a bit faster, but overall solid, action packed, and great story.
